CEREC Process
- We begin by taking digital impressions of your tooth that requires the crown, as well as any surrounding tissues and neighboring teeth. This will be used to create a custom restoration that fits your smile perfectly.
- We use the latest technology and equipment to fabricate your crown in our office, so you don’t have to wait days or weeks to get it back. Your digital impression will be uploaded to our CEREC system (CEREC stands for chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramic). This computer system makes it easy for our dentist to quickly design the perfect crown.
- Once the design is complete, it is transferred to our milling machine; this is where your crown is created. Using a block of ceramic, the crown is carved, shaped, and polished within an hour.
- Once it’s ready, we’ll fit the crown over your tooth and make any adjustments necessary to ensure a comfortable, natural fit.
